Whether you are bringing your own tent or looking for a more comfortable glamping experience, Bay View offers a relaxed base for exploring Jersey’s beautiful east coast.

Terms and Conditions

Our camping resource is a place for basic camping only for those wishing to enjoy a basic camping experience. It is meant to be a quiet, peaceful and serene environment and in order for us to help maintain those objectives we have set out below our rules for guests camping. Please note that these rules are separate to our booking terms and conditions.

 

• All camping guests MUST report to reception and register before entering the camping field to set up. Please see our reception opening times.

The field may be closed when school residential groups are on site.

• The camping field is only accessible to camping guests.

• Visitors under no circumstances must drive to the camping field.

• All socialising with non camping visitors to be at the picnic area at the front of the JAAC.

No vehicle movement is permitted after 10:00pm unless in an emergency.

• Campers are not to enter the JAAC, other than the shower and toilet block, to make enquiries at reception or to enter the dining area.

Campers must not enter residential accommodation buildings.

Campers may only access activity areas if these have been separately booked.

• Noise levels to be kept to a minimum after 10.00pm.

• Should you make excessive mess in the ablutions please use the cleaning products provided and leave the facilities as you would like to find them.

• All litter to be placed in the bin provided.

 


Fire & BBQ 

Raised fire pits only. Ground fires are strictly prohibited.
Disposable BBQs are permitted but must be raised off the grass.
Fires and BBQs must never be left unattended.
Adequate extinguishing resources must be kept immediately available.
All fires must be fully extinguished by 10:00pm.
JAAC reserves the right to prohibit fires during high winds or dry conditions.


Safeguarding 

Unaccompanied under-18s are not permitted.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Group leaders are responsible for the supervision and behaviour of their group at all times.
Any behaviour that raises safeguarding concerns may result in immediate removal from site.


Alcohol & Behaviour 

Alcohol is permitted for quiet personal consumption only.
Excessive intoxication is not acceptable.
Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
• Anti-social behaviour is not acceptable and may result in removal from site.


Dogs 

Dogs are permitted.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
Dogs must not be left unattended.
Owners must clean up immediately after their pets.


Emergency Procedures 

In a life-threatening emergency, call 999 immediately.
After contacting emergency services, notify the JAAC emergency contact number: 07797 827138.
The fire assembly point is located next to the seating area at the front drive.
All guests must familiarise themselves with site emergency information upon arrival.


Operational & Legal Protections 

JAAC reserves the right to close the camping field due to adverse weather or unsafe ground conditions.
JAAC reserves the right to refuse entry or remove guests who breach these rules.
Camping is undertaken at guests’ own risk. JAAC accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or injury except where caused by negligence.
