First of all I was looking for reasonably priced accommodation in Jersey, when I came across this establishment It was described as a hostel

Having stayed in many Hostels in all of the 5 continents I have visited, it ranks among the top 3 per cent. For the following reasons;

Included were bed and breakfast,( Buffet Style) the choices were cereal, fresh yogurt ,Ham, cheese, fresh fruit, toast, tea , coffee, jam ,honey, freshly boiled eggs, fresh fruit juice, If you wanted a bacon and egg roll the chef would cook it freshly for you at a modest cost (£2.50) There was also the option to have a packed lunch, and to have an evening meal if one desired, and the portions were very generous.. the two people looking after the catering (Dennis who has a sense of humour like no other), and Dave( a very affable chap) could not have been more helpful(.as were all of the staff) which included, Tula, John, Anna, Bella,

There is also a laundry facility( at a modest cost) which is extremely useful for someone who wants to travel light.(hand baggage only)

There is also a tv room which doubles as a Meeting Room and a games room.

The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. They treat all of their guests with respect, and there were people of all varying ages staying there.

John (Jerseys answer to Bear Grillis) organises various adventure themed activities which the young people (and not so young) really enjoyed.

The rooms were spotless some had an en suite, others had adjacent separate showers and private bathroom.

There is also excellent facilities for caravans and Campers.

The people who run it are continually investing money into the place to improve it and it shows.

There is also free parking which is very useful, some of the(more costly) hotels in Jersey don’t have that

A Really nice place run by thoroughly decent people

I would definitely stay there again. And would recommend it to my friends

Tommy Hastings -

A holiday with a large group of friends began with a superb flight from Manchester on Flybe and an easy car pickup from Europcar at Jersey Airport. Arrived at JAAC and we were met by John who runs the place and runs many activities. We had a twin room with en suite shower room, though there are also bunk rooms and family rooms. Whilst most of our four days there were pre-organised by members if our group, we had two activities run by the JAAC – coasteering and an Escape game from Elizabeth Castle! Both were excellent according to those taking part!

Breakfast and dinner were included in our stay and I have to say were tasty, filling, inventive and very well cooked.

JAAC is a superb base for any sort of holiday – the place is clean, warm and well run. It has a nice feel about it and all staff are helpful and welcoming.
